Oxygen Generator PSA Process

Pressure swing adsorption is an efficient process for separating oxygen from other gases like nitrogen and trace gases. This is accomplished with the help of high quality special grade Zeolite molecular sieves. The process involves use of two towers equipped with the molecular sieves that adsorb nitrogen which is later discharged as waste. Oxygen is allowed to pass through the sieves and is collected as a product gas. With nitrogen saturating one tower, the process changes over to the other tower thus continuously producing oxygen, which can be purified to the desired specifications. PSA-based process has numerous benefits. It is highly suited for onsite production of oxygen on a small scale with lower capital cost.
